You may have seen some of these, maybe even all of these, over the years, but I decided to display a selection of my Jack O' Lantern pails I've collected over the years all together. Every one of these came from a garage or an estate sale. They're harder to find these days, particularly anything pre-1980. These all date from the 1960's through the 1980's.
I tried to chose one of each with differing expressions which is one of my favorite things about hunting for them; finding a new expression.

Here are a few closeups. This is one of my favorites as it still has the Mavrakos tag on it. Mavrakos was a local family-owned chocolate shop that operated from 1904 until the 1980s. They were known for their huge peppermint patties in addition to other delights.
I showcased this and a few others in this display in one of my earliest Halloween-themed posts way back in 2010.

Fabulous pictures of your Jack o Lantern collection!

Thanks!
DeleteGreat collection and a wonderful display of them all.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Joe!
DeleteThey are all so unique. I think my favorite is the one with the wink. I agree that finding vintage Halloween is much harder than it used to be.
