Mad About Halloween

This came in a lot of Mad magazines I bought a few years ago.  From September of 1964, the cover parodies the monster sensation that was sweeping America's youth.

The cover is by Norman Mingo who helped formalize the look of Alfred E. "What Me Worry?" Newman.

  1. Nice! Barnes & Noble has a sweet Mad compilation book in their clearance section that's all horror related stuff. Need to pick that up still

    1. I've picked up quite a few of the vintage paperback compilations from the '60's and '70's. I need to profile those one of these days.
