What was on TV December 19th through 25th, 1970

We're going to take another look at the week of December 19th through the 25th, this time in 1970.  I'm going to let this issue stand on its own for the most part.  The closer we get to Christmas, the less time I have to devote to the blog.  Enjoy!

The Santa bank in the upper right corner is the same one I blogged about earlier that I found at an estate sale earlier this year.

J.T. is one of my earliest memories of a Christmas special.  It's the story of a Harlem youth who has recently lost his father and is starting to lose his way.  His encounter with a homeless cat changes him and his family.

I've mentioned it before, but it's always cool to see listings of classic television episodes from the night they first aired.  At 6:30 on channel 2 is the now familiar Christmas episode of "The Brady Bunch" when Carol loses her voice and Cindy asks Santa Claus to bring it back for Christmas Day.

  1. Thank you very much for these scans. Right when I started to become a TV addict. Miss these guides a lot, they made television so much more enjoyable. The ad for the magic hands on TV30, for some reason, I've never forgotten this show.

    1. You're welcome, Ronbo. I don't recall the magic hands, but I would have liked it, being a big magic fan as a child.
