I found this 100-year-old (just 3 days ago!) certificate of guarantee from The Queen City Ring Manufacturing Co. among a bunch of papers I bought at an estate sale some months back.
The guarantee seems a little half-hearted given it guarantees the ring to be solid gold with no karat weight and guarantees any stones from falling out EXCEPT FOR DIAMONDS. Tom McCormic, you gullible sap.
