Halloween Ads

These ads are the remainders from going through various October issues of vintage 1960's magazines such as Good Housekeeping, Ladies Home Journal, and Better Homes and Gardens.  As a bonus, I'm including "Halloween Party Shari Lewis Style".  You're welcome.

Sorry, I didn't scan the recipes on page 260 for you. You'll have to use your imagination.

  1. RE: Wrigleys Spearmint and raisins.
Good rule of thumb: If its in Grandma's purse, its not a treat.

And Hawaiian Punch without Punchy just seems wrong. Ad must be pre-'62.

    1. Wow and check out the size of those boxes of raisins! I know things seemed larger when I was a kid but I am pretty sure they were just slightly larger than a matchbox, not what the picture shows.

  4. i always hated getting raisins in those little Sun-Maid boxes. they were always petrified into little rocks. Gum? sure, whatever, i guess. it wasn't terrible, but it wasn't great, either.
