Christmas Greetings

These days, most people turn to online services like Shutterfly to create custom Christmas cards to send to friends and family.  In 1977, you could order personalized cards out of book like this.

I immediately thought of that scene from "Elf" when I saw this card:

But it just says this inside:

Even with online services such as Shutterfly, Christmas card sending is on the decline.  While they still make up the same percentage of physical mail sent each year, that number has dropped by half since the 1980's.  Social media and constant contact seems to have eliminated the need to catch up each year.  Do you still send Christmas cards?

  1. We still do the photo cards with pics of our kids and grandkids, but I do miss the days of finding a special card with a pretty Christmas scene.

  2. My dad would get this catalog sent to his studio always thought it was odd being that his business was to put your family on a christmas card. But nevertheless I always flipped through it every year. Pretty cool to see one of these again.
