Eureka Witch on Broom

This Witch on Broom (with Ghost) die cut was made by Eureka in the 1970's.  It's large (36") and has several jointed parts that allows it to be folded up smaller for storage.

It shows the witch riding her broom, bedecked in a star-covered black robe and hat.  Her broom has the optional bulb horn to warn Sunday drivers to get out of the way.  A ghost, probably drunken, based on his nose, has hitched a ride.  Remember, friends don't let friends drive drunk. Not even ones that are already dead.

I found a few other items in the same bag which I'll post at a later date (how's that for suspense?).

  1. What a public service announcement. Thanks for reminding us to stay safe this Holiday season.

  2. Yup, that ghost definitely looks like he's been hanging around with some 'spirits'....

  3. Great find! Love the Eureka die-cuts. I sold a gorgeous Santa figure years ago. Don't see them as often now days.

    1. No, all of the vintage seasonal items are becoming hot property and getting harder and harder to find, but I did just find a bunch this past weekend, so there's still hope!

    1. I wonder if teachers still decorate with die cuts for the holidays. That always added excitement even to a school classroom.

    1. I like this one better than "cutsie" ones that became prevalent in the '80's. But yes, I much prefer the older Beistle's.
