Bony Tony

I found this MPC "Bony Tony" figure among some small toys priced at a quarter each at a recent sale.

He's a companion piece for the "Gay Blade" I have which I posted about previously.

I also had an MPC werewolf which seems to have disappeared.  I fear it was mixed in with the kids' toys and donated at some point.

These were marketed in dime stores as well as a premium for Fritos.

MPC also marketed these figures as "Pop Top Horrors" with figures whose heads could be removed and exchanged with others in the set.

MPC produced these figures in the 1960's and were in direct competition across several genres with the more popular Marx Toy company.

  1. Hmmm - gay blade takes on a whole different meaning in 2019.
