For a while when I was in high school, I was obsessed with mazes. Not life-sized ones like those corn mazes that are all the rage this time of year; the smaller ones on paper. I even created my own during Social Studies class (when I should have been paying attention).
This book published by Xerox in 1977 offers a ghoulish assortment of mazes just right for this time of year. Have fun...and don't get lost!
i don't think i have the patience for these anymore. i also kind of think they spent so much time and energy on the mazes that they kind of phoned in the work on the faces, haha.
ReplyDeleteoh, no, it's Mister Bill's voodoo dolllllll! and that "demon's delight" one, i mean, come ON.
DeleteIf it's any consolation, "Merlin's Magic" reminded me of you.
Deletehaha, i cannot deny a certain resemblance to a high-school age me.
DeleteThose are so cute - I managed to finish the demon's delight!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! Haunted Mansion looks like it would drive me nuts. No paths, just squares.
DeleteThose are fun. Do you remember the maze game for Atari? I think it was Maze Craze or something? Used to love playing that.
ReplyDeleteNo, but it looks like something I would have enjoyed. I still have my Atari, so technically, I could still play it...
DeleteThat mansion one looks tough
ReplyDeleteYes, the possible routes are significant.
DeleteI honestly thought that was Mothman on the cover for just a second. I guess it's an... owl? Bat? Huh. Maybe it is Mothman.
ReplyDeleteThat's an excellent observation, BBQ. And a Mothman maze would be awesome! Let's just call this one Mothman.
DeleteReminds me of the great Monster Maze books I used to get through Scholastic!
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure I have one of those in my personal collection I bought when I was a kid. I don't recall Xerox having a similar school ordering service, but maybe they did. It sure looks very similar to Scholastic's books.
