Bowl-Up

I found these "Bowl-Up"  playing cards at a sale a few weeks ago.  I like the artwork.  It seems recognizable, but it might just be a familiar style.   This Flickr page has a set that's signed "Vic Take" which is probably a pseudonym.

    early 60s, maybe? the russian one seems to make it cold-war era for me. the queen of diamonds made me smile. such quaint humor.

      Funny, somehow I missed that one. I wonder if it's a coincidence it's on the Queen. Not sure when that term was popularized.
