Leftovers Day 20 -- Saludos Amigos!

Somebody chose to save this paper dinner place mat as a reminder of their stay at one of the Hacienda Motel or Hotels.  We'll never know which one.

The most famous location was of course its Las Vegas Hotel which boasted 266 rooms and the largest swimming pool on the strip.  Each location had a neon sign of the rider on rearing horse similar to the design on the place mat.

The Las Vegas sign (seen above) is preserved in the Neon Museum in Las Vegas.

The Hacienda Hotel operated from 1956 to 1996 when it was imploded during a New Year's Eve celebration making way for the Mandalay Bay resort.
