Milton Bradley's "Sunken Treasure" game is another spin (pun intended) on "Operation".
The playing field has 10 slots that lead to a rotating platter below.
To play the game, you randomly place the treasure ("gold", "silver" and "copper" coins) through the holes and rotate the disc.
You then use the "probe" to search for the treasure. But watch out... If you buzz by touching the sides while retrieving the coin, you have to pay a diving fee.
Like "Operation", the game has different slots of varying degrees of risk. The higher the risk, the higher the reward.
Once all coins have been retrieved, the player with the most money wins.
I bought this game (way back in 2013) at the same sale where I found the Marx Magic Shot. "Sunken Treasure" was yet another gift Tim received for Christmas of 1976 which he apparently no longer wanted.
I know I had this at one point because I distinctly remember the coins.
