What a Bunch of Crepe

I gasped when I saw this batch of vintage Dennison Christmas crepe paper in a pile of other plain wrapping paper at a garage sale this summer.  It's rare to find vintage items at garage sales these days.  Especially marked as cheap as these were at a quarter a piece.

These were meant to be used as wall decorations rather than for wrapping.  One is a continuous scene of Santa stuffing a stocking with "Seasons Greetings".

The other is a brick backdrop.

I challenge their "Flameproof" boast.  This stuff feels like it would go up like a gasoline-soaked rag. I'm almost tempted to try...

  1. Oh wow that is fun! And flame proof

  2. now i want to find the book on Gay Decorations for veracity. (...and test that "flameproof" claim...)

  3. Man these are awesome!!! What a great find at the garage sale!
