Electric Halloween Candle Sticks

I found a bag of these electric candle sticks at a garage sale a number of years ago.  They probably date from the late 1980's to early 1990's.  They're a fun spin on the more traditional white Christmas candle sticks.

Their blow mold tops are so thin, they crack if you look at them wrong.  The witch had an unfortunate accident some years ago, doing a face plant, and now sports a hole in her nose.  I consider it an inverted wart.

The sticks carry a patent pending mark of 75211873, but I found no record of that patent and in fact, if it's a U.S. Patent, it's higher than any issued.

As I mentioned earlier, the design is the same as the more traditional Christmas candle sticks like these.

This style has been around for years, so I'm not sure what patent they were trying to claim.  That could be the reason it wasn't granted.

  1. i like the jack o'lantern topped ones the best. i wonder if there's a skull version out there? seems a more natural fit than the ghost, which just seems too cutesy and the odd one out to me.

    1. I've never seen a skull one, but yes, the ghost is cutesy. These date from the 1980's. Halloween cuteness enforcement was in full effect.

  3. Great display! Cool way to light up decorations at night, with the spooky, moody orange glow.
