Jerk O'Lantern

I can't imagine the circumstances under which this pumpkin cutout was created.

It has an elementary school feel to it, something that might have hung on the walls of a classroom.  But I can't think of where it would have been used.  The pumpkin itself is jolly and inviting, but then the message tells you, "Don't even try, mister."

Perhaps the teachers were asked to decorate their facutly lounge, but didn't want to encourage walk-ins?  A secret closet a teacher forbade their students from entering?  A warning to would-be Halloween tricksters hung on the gate of a teacher's home?  We'll never know.

  1. it's interesting that it says "no trespassing" and not "keep out" which would be more in line with a spooky vibe.

  2. Maybe part of a pack for parties, and added to keep those out of certain rooms. No clue, but definitely leaves you wondering.
