Bowl Me Over

I was surprised to find this Halloween candy dish still available at one of the last estate sales for the day as it was closing in on noon. It was in the basement and only priced at $3.

It's papier mache and appears to be hand-painted.

Doing a little research, it appears to be from the 1940's or 50's and valued at around $100.  It measures 15" diameter. I plan on using it as my treat bowl this year.
