In case you thought this was a regular eyepatch, you're wrong. It's a WICKED eyepatch. Must be for pirates from Boston.
I love the artwork on this package. It reminds me of the Imagineering artwork. This eyepatch was made in Hong Kong and would have been found on a pegboard in your favorite dimestore and grocery store aisles of the 1970's.
I'm not sure what it says just below "Wicked Eyepatch" as it's obscured by the patch itself. You can read "WILL GIVE DEVIL..." One can only imagine the rest:
"...YOUR SOUL?"
"...ISH TENDENCIES?"
"...JOY KNOWING YOU'RE IMITATING BLOODTHIRSTY KILLERS?"
"...HIS DUE?"
"Elastic Bank Holds Patch in Place". At least for 3 minutes before it snaps.
Also written on the package is "Hook NO. 1-3, A, 4x7". I'm guessing this was part of a bigger display supplied by the manufacturer and they wanted it to be displayed in a particular manner. Maybe they kept all pirate-ware in the same location for ease of shopping of all wanna-be cutthroats.
Arrrr, be that dotted corner area fer price-label affixin'?
